Civil Department Lab details

Environmental Lab
The environmental engineering lab conducts vital research to assess and improve environmental quality. It analyzes water, air, and soil samples, develops effective wastewater treatment methods, and explores renewable energy sources. By identifying pollutants and recommending sustainable solutions, the lab supports pollution control and waste management. Its collaborative, data-driven approach helps create a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Geotechnical Lab
The geotechnical engineering lab analyzes soil properties through tests on compaction, permeability, shear strength, and bearing capacity. Practical Application: Geotechnical engineering labs play a crucial role in analyzing soil properties, aiding in the design and construction of foundations, slopes, and retaining structures. By conducting tests such as soil classification, compaction, and shear strength assessments, they ensure safe and efficient infrastructure development while mitigating potential geotechnical hazards.
Building material testing Lab
Materials testing lab specializing in mechanical, chemical, and physical property evaluations. Accredited experts conduct various tests, including tensile, hardness, impact, and corrosion assessments, ensuring materials meet industry standards. The lab ensures material quality and compliance by analyzing properties like strength, ductility, hardness, and impact resistance. This supports material selection, research, and reliable engineering applications.
Survey Lab
The Survey Laboratory offers a wide range of instruments, from traditional tools like theodolites and dumpy levels to modern equipment like total stations and GPS units. Its hands-on approach gives students practical experience and a solid understanding of both conventional and modern surveying techniques. The curriculum covers key concepts such as distance, angles, and elevation, preparing students with a well-rounded, field-ready skill set.
