Prof. (Dr.) Kakoli Rao

Dr. A. Kakoli Rao is a distinguished academician and corporate trainer with over 23 years of experience in academia and the tech industry. Holding a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, she has authored 40+ research papers and holds 12 patents, showcasing her commitment to innovation. Dr. Rao specializes in Data Science, AI, and DSA problem-solving, with a focus on practical, industry-aligned learning.
A dedicated mentor, she has supervised 8 M.Tech students and is renowned for her corporate training in Data Science and Algorithmic Thinking. Under her leadership, the Computer Science and Engineering Department is evolving into a hub of innovation, preparing students for industry challenges and entrepreneurial success.
Dr. Rao’s teaching is transformative, blending deep theoretical knowledge with hands-on, real-world applications to inspire the next generation of tech leaders. About the Department
Lloyd is committed to addressing the industry’s need for digitally skilled engineers by upgrading its curriculum through academic collaborations with major IT leaders. The department offers a full-time B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is Approved by AKTU and AICTE.
In response to emerging digital technologies like Big Data, AI, Cloud, and IoT, Lloyd is preparing students for high-demand roles in areas like mobile app development and data science. As digital technologies are expected to significantly boost India’s economy by 2025, Lloyd has infused its CSE curriculum with relevant tech skills, including Full Stack Programming, Big Data, Machine Learning, AI, and IoT. Computer Science Engineering Lab

Data Analytics Lab
The Lab provides the platform to prepare the students with the statistical, mathematical reasoning, machine learning, knowledge discovery and visualization skills, The students will have an opportunity to learn principles, tools and techniques to model various real world problems, analyse them, and discover useful information. The lab facilitates high configuration machines with relevant softwares like Jupyter, R, Python, Keras, tensorflow to name a few.
Database Management System and Object Oriented Lab
The Lab is dedicated for Oriented Languages and Database related practicals and projects. High configuration computer systems with relevant softwares like Java, C++, along with frontend and backend softwares like Net Beans, Visual studio, MySQL are installed to design, develop and implement Database related projects and assignments.
Web Technology and Multimedia Lab
The Lab is dedicated to gain hands experience on web technologies. The high configuration machines are equipped with relevant software tools like Eclipse, visual studio, PHP, Web server, XAMPP, WAMP, LAMP, and Net Beans to name a few.
