Head's Message

Greetings from the Research & Development (R&D) Cell of Lloyd Institute of Engineering & Technology (LIET)

The LIET research ethos is shaped by the belief that evolving knowledge and active collaboration are essential for addressing growing scientific and technological challenges.

Prof. Dr. Shubham Sharma has been recognized by Stanford University’s list (published by Elsevier) of the World’s Top 2% of the Most-Cited Scientists in Single Year Citation Impact 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. (MATERIALS SCIENCE; MECHANICAL ENGINEERING). He has also honored with the SPRINGER Gold Medal – Institution of Engineers – December 27, 2023 and moreover, he has honored with the SPRINGER IIM-SAIL Gold Medal – The Indian Institute of Metals – November 20, 2024. Additionally, he has been recognized with young research awards thrice, Scientific Laurels best Researcher of the Year Awards, and best article awards from the prestigious esteemed International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, POLYMERS (MDPI) etc.

In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, innovation and the creation of new knowledge are critical for societal progress and economic growth. Research projects supported by government agencies, industry, and global partners play a pivotal role in shaping the Institute’s contributions to the nation. The R&D Division of LIET is dedicated to facilitating all aspects of sponsored research and industrial engagement. Its responsibilities include publishing high-quality JCR-listed SCI/SCI-E/SSCI/Scopus+ESCI/Scopus indexed journal articles, proposal development, project management, financial oversight, coordination with funding agencies, intellectual property management, and technology transfer. The Division also supports participation in collaborative initiatives and various bilateral research calls.

LIET continues to develop an ecosystem that fosters high-impact research, supports innovation, and promotes strong engagement with industry and society. The Institute’s expanding infrastructure, dynamic faculty, and emphasis on multidisciplinary work position it to make meaningful contributions to national priorities in science, engineering, and technology.

The Institute welcomes industry partners, research organisations, and academic collaborators to engage with the R&D Division of LIET. Through collective effort, it is possible to co-develop solutions, advance new technologies, and create outcomes that serve both national development and global scientific progress.
