Message From The Faculty

Message from Dr. Divya Gairola

Associate Professor, Applied Science Department

The EcoClub is not just a space—it is a philosophy. It is where students take ownership of their nature, community, and country, cultivating a deep sense of belonging. My vision is to teach Environmental Studies (EVS) through a spiritual and holistic lens, reminding us that our surroundings are sacred and interconnected.

Through the EcoClub, we nurture awareness of the mindful use of resources and introduce the principles of sustainability. Students learn that as future technologists and professionals, every project must begin with sustainable practices. Together, we align our efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially:

Our activities—plantation, cleanliness drives, hygiene awareness, and equality in education—are not just tasks, but spiritual acts of service to the planet. By inculcating these habits, students learn that technology and sustainability must walk hand in hand.

At its heart, the EcoClub is a foundation built by students, for students, where they contribute, participate, and care for the Earth with empathy and responsibility.

"We're stronger when we move forward together—let's turn this momentum into results."

Happy Learning

Technology Meets Sustainability

As technology enthusiasts and B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) students, we aim to implement green solutions in the tech domain by:

Our goal is simple yet powerful: use technology not just for advancement, but for environmental preservation and global well-being.

Personal Vision (As an Eco Club Member)

As a member of the Eco Club and a B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) student, my personal mission is to blend technology with sustainability to create a greener tomorrow.

Through innovation, responsibility, and collaboration, we can prove that technology can protect nature rather than harm it.

Our Inspiration

Being part of the Eco Club inspires us to grow not only as engineers, but as responsible guardians of the environment. We believe that real progress is measured not by how fast we advance, but by how sustainably we move forward.

“Innovate today, preserve tomorrow.”

Project Significance

Lloyd Eco Club’s comprehensive initiatives have transformed campus sustainability efforts through multiple interconnected projects that create a holistic impact:

Green Plant Belt Project

  • Our flagship initiative creates lush green corridors across campus, significantly improving indoor air quality, reducing pollutants, and fostering eco-consciousness among students. This hands-on project teaches responsibility, teamwork, and the tangible connection between human action and environmental restoration.

DIY Recycle Project

  • The EVS BAS 204 DIY Recycling initiative empowers students to transform waste into creative solutions. By promoting sustainability, creativity, and resourcefulness, this project demonstrates that environmental responsibility is not just a duty but an opportunity for innovation. Students learn that every material has potential for regeneration.

Earth Day & Environment Day Celebrations

  • Annual celebrations create awareness about climate action, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable living practices. These events unite the campus community around shared environmental values and inspire collective action for planetary health.

Carbon Footprint Case Study

  • Students engage in real-world analysis of environmental impact, pledging to reduce their carbon footprint. This project bridges theory and practice, enabling data-driven decision-making for sustainable futures.

Collectively, these projects achieve: Improved air quality, enhanced mental well-being through green spaces, waste reduction, climate action participation, and most importantly—cultivating a generation of environmentally conscious technologists who understand that sustainability must be central to all innovation.
