Stress is an inevitable part of human life but practicing the
right technique of meditation brings
inner peace and tranquillity. Practicing yoga and meditation as a useful form of
intervention in
the treatment of psychological problems is becoming a focal point of scientific
attention. In
this webinar, we will look at the basics of Sahaja Yoga Meditation (SYM) and how it is
different from other forms of Yoga. SYM is based on the traditional yogic
psycho-‐physiology
and is aimed at attaining thoughtless awareness (turya), a state in which the process
of ongoing
thinking is eliminated. Thoughtless awareness could also be described as a state of
mental
silence or in more popular terms mind-emptiness. The focus of SYM is on meditation; no
physical exercises are employed, with a few simple steps, one can easily attain
SelfRealization.
